Tender: Construction of Cruise Port

The Maritime Authority of Panama is putting out to tender the study, design and construction of a Cruise Ship Port in Amador.

Panama Government Purchase 2016-2-03-0-08-LV-005 618:

“The purpose of the project is to construct a New Cruise Ship port in Amador, conceptualized under the philosophy of a” Home Port” which will be the most modern and secure terminal in the American Pacific.

The initial reception capacity of the terminal’s quays will be two (2) vessels up to 330 meters long and with a draft of 10.5 meters. The design of both the docks and offices, will allow for future growth commensurate with the size of the proposed cruise ships up to ten (10) years.

This project includes, without limitation, the following: 

– Studies, Design, Development and Approval of Plans 
– Construction 
Terrestrial facilities 
Natural Reserve Area 
Maritime facilities 

The procedure for selecting a contractor that applies to this contract is best value tender with separate evaluation in accordance with the rules established in the Single Text of Law 22 of 2006 and it will be a global award.”

The deadline for receipt of bids is January 16, 2017.
