TUI-Sunwing joint venture to manage Panama resort

Royalton Playa Blanca

I always wondered what Nikki Beach would be doing here in Panama when the development team was announced over a year ago. Well today it looks like they will be doing nothing.  At first the news was disappointing that Nikki Beach pulled it name from the project that just opened and then the news came last month that a TUI-Sunwing Joint venture was to manage the place.

These are huge operators who know how to do things right.  They are vertically organized and own their own airlines and tour agency operations across the globe.  TUI operates in over 180 countries with over 30 million customers. Sunwing offers  outstanding in-flight service   including a complimentary glass of champagne, upgraded meal service, in-flight entertainment, wine with meals, comfortable leather seating throughout the aircraft, plus many more upgraded features at no extra charge.

With the recent announcement that Rio Hato would be the location of a new International Airport, this venture will no doubt be one of the biggest hits for Panama as we will start to see charter jets bringing in 200 passengers at a time directly from Canada and Europe to the gold coast area of Panama.
