Panama’s government has authorized spending of $4.3 million to purchase 1.09 million doses of a coronavirus vaccine being developed by Britain’s AstraZeneca Plc and Oxford University, the president’s office said on Wednesday.
The Central American nation has been working on multiple Covid-19 vaccine options for its population of 4.2 million, with President Laurentino Cortizo saying he wants to guarantee that each resident will have access to two doses.
Last week, the government approved spending $48 million to buy 4 million doses of a vaccine being developed by U.S. drugmaker Pfizer Inc and its partner BioNTech of Germany.
The government in September also signed up for the World Health Organization-backed COVAX plan – a multilateral initiative running trials on several potential vaccines – from which it expects to receive some 1.3 million doses.
The country has been hard hit by the global pandemic, with nearly 150,000 confirmed infections and around 3,000 dead.

Please stop promoting the official narrative that a vaccination will stop the virus and allow life to resume. If you dispassionately and objectively look at the numbers there simply is no pandemic. In Panama only 3018 have died (supposedly of Covid, although that is debatable) out of a population of 4,342,082. That’s 0.07% of the population after nine months. Can any clear thinking person call that a pandemic? In the United States a higher percentage of the population has supposedly died of Covid. Here’s a fun fact: approximately the same percentage die of medical malpractice every year in the U.S., and I would venture to say that the numbers are comparable in Panama. Tom, there is no pandemic. More importantly, there is no need for a vaccine, especially a rushed, untested, risky, DNA-altering vaccine that contains God only knows what. The entire Covid drama is a World Economic Forum ‘elite’ driven psyop to provide cover for nothing less than an complete overhaul of how the entire world is ruled. Our only hope is to push back, resist, not comply, and if that fails, resort to more kinetic means to stop this insanity. Because once they succeed in mandating periodic injections in order to participate in civilization, you can kiss goodbye whatever hopes and dreams you had of living out the rest of your life in any semblance of freedom. It will be OVER.
