The Boquete Jazz and Blues Festival ended this week and the promoter, Hans-J. Lebuser pushed the bar up really high this year with an international cast of artists. I had the pleasure of meeting a lot of them and the festival days were followed by party nights so after three days it was time to say good bye. We all have to tell everybody how really great the Festival was. It will be even bigger next year if that is really possible. Hans, don’t leave us now!!

You’ve written 2 or 3 articles about the jazz festival which were wonderful because the jazz festival truly helps put Boquete on the map. My question is why won’t you give any publicity to Bid 4 Boquete which for 5 years now has helped make Boquete a much better place for both visitors and residents. Last year we pumped $55,000 into the community and this year the figure will be closer to $65,000. Last year we gave financial support to 9 charitable/civic organizations and it will be more this year.
I’m hoping the next time you get a press release from us you will help support this very worthwhile endeavor. We’re on break right now but will get back into theharness in about 5 months.
