Most wanted Panama escapee caught in Peru posing as DEA

Shy Dahan , an Israeli  with a $10,000 price tag on his head  after escaping from  La Joyita prison two years ago  has been recaptured in Ecuador   while posing as members of the US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and operating pandemic scams

According to the Ecuadorian newspaper El Universo, Dahan’s arrest occurred in Quito, and at the time he was in the company of another Israeli. They  were carrying $00,000 in cash and false documents

Later, the authorities raided a Qito residence where Dahan lived, in the province of Santa Elena on the west coast of Ecuador, where they seized three luxury cars and $200,000 in cash. the newspaper reports.

Dahan classified by Panamanian authorities as “highly dangerous”, was arrested following an investigation carried out by Peruvian authorities into the alleged sale of rapid tests for COVID-19 and with medical supplies for the South American country that has been  hit hard by the pandemic.

Panama’s  Public Ministry opened an investigation against Shy Dahan when he was extradited from Spain for an alleged fraud case of more than half a million dollars.

He  was  detained from March 16, 2018 But four months later, he escaped from prison.
