News from Panama / Tuesday, November 19th, 2019

Do you enjoy exotic accommodations? Viceroy is planning a new hotel in the Caribbean Sea that will satisfy your desires for comfort and adventure simultaneously! The Viceroy Bocas del Toro Panama will be a bungalow resort that is mostly suspended over the water off the coast of the forested Bocas del Toro Archipelago.

The resort will feature a total of 42 incredibly private and luxurious overwater villas. Each villa will make guests feel as though they are floating over the tides. In addition, we know that a total of 186 rooms and residences will be featured throughout a resort campus that spans 457 acres. Viceroy’s new Panama resort will be surrounded by white-sand beaches and turquoise-colored Caribbean waters.

The Viceroy Bocas del Toro Panama is going to offer many of the features that top spas around the world provide to guests. The resort will have eight dining establishments in total. In addition, guests will enjoy a meditation space, spa, fitness center and several pools. Activities like sailing, kayaking, snorkeling, surfing and paddle boarding can all be enjoyed by guests. The new Viceroy resort will be conveniently located just a short flight away from Panama City.

The announcement of the Viceroy Bocas del Toro Panama offers a big boost to the tourism industry in and around the Western Caribbean. It seems that many resort operators are actually paying attention to the Western Caribbean at the moment. You may recall hearing that Kimpton announced plans to open a robust resort in Roatan, Honduras. That resort is expected to open its doors in 2021. Other popular resort operators have recently announced development plans in places like Belize.
