Road Projects for $97 million

Rehabilitation, expansion and road construction in the provinces of Panama West and Coclé are some of the road projects planned for the coming months in Panama.

CentralAmericaData‘s information system “Construction Projects in Panama” compiled by the Business Intelligence Unit includes an up to date list of public and private construction projects for which Environmental Impact Studies (EIA) were submitted to the Ministry Environment of Panama in March 2017.

Details of some of the projects: 

Agencia Panamá Pacifico  presented an EIA to rehabilitate and widen 6 kilometers of Boulevard Panama Pacifico, which joins the Pan-American highway and the road to Veracruz. The project is called “Rehabilitación y Ampliación del Boulevard Panamá Pacífico” and according to the study $40 million will be invested in it.

The Ministry of Public Works presented three EIAs, the first to build, 64 kilometers of highway, in Panama West, distributed among nine different roads. The project is called “Study, design and construction for the rehabilitation of roads in the district of Capira” and according to the document the investment amount is $34 million.

The second and third are for the design and construction of a total of 11 kilometers of road that is located in the province of Coclé. According to the documents, both projects add up to an estimated investment amount of $23 million.
