Panama- Overstretched hospital converts neurosurgery wing to coronavirus

The Arnulfo Arias Madrid Hospital Complex of the Social Security Fund (CSS), is fast running out of beds and ventilators for coronavirus patients while the numbers of infections continues to zoom over-stretching staff and facilities.

CSS  director Enrique Lau Cortés. Lau Cortés announced  Sunday  that  the neurosurgery wing  with 30 beds will be used fot virus  patients and  they will have to buy more ventilators He noted that the number of patients with COVID-19 now exceeds those with other illnesses in Intensive Care.  The newly enabled beds must be accompanied by their respective monitors, ventilators, continuous infusion pumps and other key equipment .
