Panama: Four Bids for Treatment Plant

Between $219 million and $298 million is the range of proposals submitted in the tender to build a second module for the wastewater treatment plant in Panama City.

The consortium Acciona PTAR Juan Diaz presented a proposal valued at $238 million, the company Suez Internacional S.A.S. offered $219 million, FCC Aqualia S.A. $230 million and Consorcio Chino PTAR Panamá II, $298 million.

According to the Tender Information System at CentralAmericaData.com the tender documents indicate that “based on the recommendations by the Evaluation Commission, the Employer will determine which Offeror will be selected for having submitted the Offer which substantially conforms to the requirements and was assessed as the lowest, and the financing Banks will be asked for their non objection to the award decision prior to the Letter of Acceptance being sent to the successful Bidder. “

The project consists of the design, construction and assembly of a Second Module for a Wastewater Treatment Plant in Panama City, and Operation and Maintenance of the First and Second Module of the Plant.
