Public bidding for the operation and maintenance of the new Panama Cruise Terminal has been temporarily suspended.
This is due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
New tender date to be advised
The Panama Maritime Authority said it has informed interested companies that once the suspension of the public bidding has been lifted, a new date to submit tenders will be announced.
The Panama Cruise Terminal is designed to handle two large ships up to 380 meters/1,247 feet each at a finger pier with the potential for further capacity as needed.
Earlier this year, modified incentives for cruise ships homeporting in Panama were outlined.

Have been living here since 1962, arrived to El Paso and 2 yrs in Germany and 2 in South Korea (Taigu). Now I am retired as a Civilian (38 yrs) worked with the Foreign Military Sales. worked the last years with the Gov of Egypt with HAWKS Missiles. Feel very proud to have had handled that position. Learned the English attending Panama School and graduating there, never thought I was going to leave Panama. My father used to owns lands in Boquete and become rich and very smart.
