News from Panama / Monday, August 4th, 2014

The administrators of Panama International Airport have announced that they will be carrying out legal and financial audits of contracts with suppliers and putting out to tender duty free spaces before the end of the year.

The new air terminal administration is reviewing the details of all contracts with private firms providing different services at the airport.

“…In little more than two weeks at the head of Tocumen, SA, Joseph Fidanque III began a process of verification of documents, in which he found incomplete records and tenders for the purchase of equipment with high prices.”

Fidanque added to Prensa.com that “… irregularities have been detected, including remote control procurements, lack of financial resources and lack of management of concessions to generate fresh revenue for the entity.”
