A group of investors recently developed a green house operation in the Boquete area for the purpose of exporting bell peppers to the US and it is no small operation with a capital investment of $10 million. This will not be the last such venture in the highland regions of Chiriqui as the USDA establishes new rules for importing vegetables and fruit.

The website provides information about the approval process for the importation of fruits and vegetables to this market and enables greater user feedback. The newsletter notes that ” participants are interested in learning more about the approval procedure and to participate in the early stages of its development. “
