The Maersk Connector is the world’s most advanced power cable installation vessel, specifically designed to transport and install large volumes of HVAC and HVDC power cable via its onboard 7000Te split capacity duel concentric carousel. It is the only vessel of its type that can go right up to the beach and go aground fully loaded with cable.

The operation here took place recently in England’s Morecambe Bay during pull-in of export cable for DONG Energy’s Walney Extension Offshore Wind Farm.

Built by Damen, Maersk Connector is owned by Maersk Supply Service and is on long-term charter to DeepOcean.
