In order to join efforts in order to facilitate and intensify the relations of cooperation between the two institutions in areas of common interest, a cooperation agreement between the two recognized universities was signed in the Umecit auditorium. Within the framework of the event, the Rector of the University of Panama (UP), Dr. Eduardo Flores Castro, pointed out that: “It is a historical moment, it is the first agreement that is made with a private university in Panama. Umecit in its 18 years has grown a lot, and has consolidated, so much so that it is placed in the Webometrics ranking as the first private university in Panama, third at the level of the universities after the University of Panama and the Technological University of Panama, this leads to the signing of this framework agreement of academic cooperation.”  Likewise, the University of Panama delivered the certificates of Panindex, the first index of Panamanian scientific journals, conferring merit to the indexed journals of our House of Study, Oratores, Cathedra, Saluta and Dialogus, for meeting the quality criteria and being part of the first cohort of the index of Panamanian Scientific Journals.
