  1. Hello, I moved to Coronado 14 years ago, love it! I think your numbers are quite low, maid is $30, rents are in the over $1K range, restaurants (not fondas) are close to double the numbers you are quoting. It is hot in the beaches, so the AC is on more than we would like (in a house), of course if you have a large pool…., health insurance all depends on your needs and how old you are. Can not comment on transportation as we have a car that is paid for, but the insurance is over $300 per year, Cabs are not always available. Not to be negative, but depending if you are in a house or in an apartment building, some costs may vary dramatically. Entertainment consists of getting together with friends, going to a restaurant / bar, unless you are an avid sportsperson, then there is the ocean, walking, golfing. There are lots of exercise / yoga / kick boxing, etc. classes available. Coronado is great as we have a lot of shopping choices vs other little towns, but do not be surprises that the roads are the worse, but then that is a whole different article to write about. Louise

  2. Tom,

Great article. Sure puts things in perspective to living in the US. Sending to my family and friends in Central Florida to answer their never ending question. When are you moving back. To which my answer is always, I can’t afford the same lifestyle in Florida. Thanks
