Based upon my experiences of ex-pat friends who have been robbed, beaten, tied-up and almost killed… Panama needs MORE than new jails. They may be empty.
Even with video proof of criminal activities… the Police in Panama do almost nothing. Young offenders get away with unbelievable crimes… and the police do nothing… even with video evidence.
Maybe it’s time to change the rules! Crimes are Crimes! No matter what the age of the offenders.
Until the rules are changed… Panama will never become a 1st world country… and remain as a developing country… where the rules almost don’t exist.
