The Suicide Squad set video shows off production in Panama

News from Panama / Sunday, February 9th, 2020

Production on The Suicide Squad has resumed following an extended break, and it has now moved to the country of Panama.

It has long been known that James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad would film some of its scenes in Panama, but it was unclear when that would occur or with which cast members. Thanks to a new set video, we know it at least involves John Cena.

Sadly, nothing Cena is wearing gives any indication as to his character. James Gunn has been keeping which characters are in this film under wraps for the time being.

We do now know, however, if he hears his ring entrance music he will look up and wave.

With filming happening in the streets, perhaps we’ll luck out and catch someone in costume, but we aren’t going to hold our breath quite yet.

Although The Suicide Squad started shooting last fall, it took an extended holiday break due to Margot Robbie’s schedule. Gunn explained on various social media platforms that her promotional schedule for Birds of Prey just worked out in such a way that everyone got to spend a bit more time away on this film.

The Suicide Squad will hit theaters on Aug. 6, 2021.
