  1. Loved seeing this. In 2009 my husband and I were interested in a condo project in Punta Chame which had no parking structures. I tried to convince the developer to put in solar-covered parking and tie it into the building to provide the majority of electricity needed to power the condos. He and his partners declined. Maybe some forward-thinking developers in Panama will take advantage of all the sunshine.

    SKY Renewable Energy has presented to owners, solar and mini Hydos in David, Boquette, and other locations in 2009. We are very interested in presenting again. Installed cost have come down 33% since 2009, Le 45 is very important as it requires the offset rate for solar at the equal cost to the most expensive offset power cost (oil fired) rather than the rate for Hydro.

    This is very important as solar can beat oil fired cost but not hydro cost per kW-hours.
