1 thought on “Panama tourism on verge of collapse”

  1. Hi Tom, I really enjoy reading your weekly blog. The articles are very interesting and I really appreciate them. My wife and I have been thru the Panama Canal 3 times. Twice thru the old and last time thru the new system. How they empty and refill the lakes to raise and lower the water level is amazing, especially with the speed it is accomplished with. We never had the opportunity to visit Panama City itself, but maybe one day when the virus is conquered we will be able to do so. Your last article concerning tourism in the country is very much like what were going thru in the states now. There is a whole generation of our x president who absolutely refuse to mask up for the common good. The insurrection which occurred on Jan 6, still frightens many of us here in the country. Whether you are a Democrat or Republican this was just wrong. The FBI is vigorously persuing all leads that will result in criminal charges for as many rioters as possible. These people were continously lied to for four years and after over 30,000 lies that was the result. Shame on us for letting this happen. NEVER again.

Our 4th cruise thru the canal was cancelled last week. So, as of now all cruises leaving from U.S. ports have been cancelled thru the end of April. Our country has a long journey ahead and I hope we make it. If not please find us a nice home.
