Enrique Mendoza, dean of the faculty, told prensa.com that the public act will be convened for next April and that the work should be operational in late 2018. As reported last November , the building will be erected on an area of 5.5 hectares in Chivo Chivo, Ancon, in the district of Panama City.

The plan is to construct two halls, a cafeteria, a virtual library, staff room, classrooms for physiology, microbiology, biochemistry, pharmacology, preventive medicine, social and family studies.
