Panama has a new center for waste collection and processing, called Ecospot, which also combines culture, entertainment and learning about the circular economy.

The place, inaugurated this week, is located in Multiplaza and has a space for those who visit it to share a moment of recreation, exchange materials or simply relax.

There is also the option of self-service, so that the materials can be delivered without having to get out of the car.

This center seeks to promote recycling in Panama, promoting a culture of waste separation and classification in the population.

In the Ecospot, paper, cardboard, aluminum cans, tinplate, Tetra Pak, plastic (PET, HDPE, LDPE, PP, among others), glass, co-processable and electronic will be accepted.

There will also be services for hard-to-recycle materials such as appliances, alkaline batteries, tires, compostables, aerosol containers, toys and other materials.
