My Bucket List

News from Panama / Wednesday, May 29th, 2013

Boquete, as seen in 1954.

While I was not born in Boquete in 1954, there was a strong possibility that I was conceived here in 1953, but that is a story that I will not bore you with.    I was born in Ft Clayton in 1954 while my Father was stationed here in the Canal Zone.  So after 52 years, I crossed off two items on the list of things that I want to do before I die or my Bucket List.

Move from Miami after 31 years

Return to the Country of my birth, Panama!

So here I am since visiting Boquete in 2006 and buying a home, moving my family and setting up camp in 2007.  Next up…..

Loose weight (a hundred pounds) and eat healthier foods

Yesterday we had some yellow fin tuna sashimi and today while it was still very fresh, spicy tuna tartar in a pitted fresh avocado.  Tonight, some free range, grass fed filet migon, baby potatoes and 6 lettuce salad with the juiciest plum tomatoes you have every tasted.   Here is a post that I did that tells a lot about life and living healthier here in Boquete.

Rainbows, Coffee, Gourmet Organic Food and Cool Fresh Air – My kind of living!!

On Father’s Day last year, I marked off another thing that I wanted to do.

Catch a giant Marlin on Hannibal Bank here off of the coast of Chiriqui where my Father had fished in 1952-1953.

Now that is the way to celebrate Father’s Day.  More on that story at The Panama Big Game Club.

So here we are a year later and Father’s day is approaching, so what do I plan on doing besides do some killer marlin and Yellow Fin Tuna fishing…..

Get a tattoo that says something besides Mom, who, by the way,  I dearly love and miss terribly!!

This was done by a good friend of mine who superimposed a Harpy Eagle, the National Bird of Panama over the Flag of Panama. OK, next year I will do the US Flag and a Bald Eagle on my right arm!!
