Boquete is our home.  I sometimes forget how lucky Susie and I are for the privilege of saying that.  It was our anniversary weekend last week so we packed up and headed to my favorite place on the beach, Las Lajas Beach Resort.

We arrived in time for lunch and when on the beach, eat fish!! Pescado Entero Frito and in this case Corvina with a side of fried plantanos, heaven!!

We lounged around the pool, the beach and the beautiful beachside bohios.

The sun set with all of it’s majesty as we sipped tropical drinks and thought about the fresh Dorado that they just bought from the nearby fish market in Remedios. Eat more fish!!

What a setting!!

Next morning was no less spectacular with the early morning sun on the beach.  So crowded too, hah!

What a great weekend and we were back in the mountains in a little over an hour and a half where it was 75 degrees and a cloudless sky.  So on Monday morning, I open my computer and the headlines are….
