The endorsement from the Panamanian Food Authority is for imports of meat products of bovine origin and meat from birds, from both countries.

From a statement issued by the Panamanian Food Authority:

In the thirty-seventh regular session of the CCTSA, a Health Assessment audit report was presented for approval of Paraguay’s Eligibility to export meat products of bovine origin to our country.

Similarly, a presentation was given of the executive summary of a Health Assessment audit for approval of Costa Rica’s Eligibility to export poultry meat products to Panama.

This last statement had been presented in previous editions, but it was decided that more information was needed on the checks carried out on meat and poultry products to detect the presence of Salmonella, its characterization and the monitoring frequency of sampling and analysis used, which includes the appropriate measures for non-compliant results, among other scientific aspects.
