My friend Joaquim Bamrud, editor in chief of Latinvex just shared their analysis of IMF’s latest study on LatAM and not surprising Panama is ranking up their again.
The richest and poorest countries in Latin America.

Panama has become the second-richest country in Latin America after Chile, while Peru is now richer than Colombia, according to a Latinvex analysis of new data from the International Monetary Fund.
The analysis used data for gross domestic product based on purchasing-power-parity (PPP) per capita GDP in international dollars to measure wealth and excludes Argentina, which has been criticized for having unreliable data on its economy.

I was a soldier with 3/7 Special Forces Group stationed in Ft. Gulick, CZ from Feb 1977 till Jan 1981. I loved it there at the time. I had a wife that hated it there and caused me many problems. She ailenated all my friends and befriended all the druggies and drug dealers.
We were divorced in 1982.
My son loved it there as a teenager playing in the jungle. I would take him hunting with me and some hunters from Panama.
