The historic Casa Góngora will be remodeled

The Góngora House, the colonial house that presents the most original elements, will be intervened by the Municipality of Panama.

It is the only one in the city to maintain its 18th century interior spaces and much of its external historical image, with its balcony of turned matter and plank doors on the upper floor; in addition, the restoration process has allowed to recover the entire floor of

general, but currently its facilities are completely deteriorated despite having been restored between 1998 and 1999 by the Mayor’s Office of Panama.

The House has suffered over these years a great deterioration in areas such as the roof of tiles, wooden balconies, doors in general, calicanthin wall system, walls with wood-coated, electrical and lighting system, air conditioning, fire alarm system, floors, acrylic coating for floor of the time, exterior sidewalks, general plumbing and furniture in general.

The remodeling of the Góngora House will cost $1.6 million and the presentation of the proposals will be received on December 21.

The money, according to information from the Municipality of Panama, will be divided into three tax terms. In 2022 it will be 100,000, next year $775 thousand and in 2024 $775 thousand will be allocated.

The bidder must make a visit to the site of the work in which the difficulties he will have in the course of the execution of the work will be evaluated, so that when making his proposal he will have considered these project risks in it.

The Municipality of Panama says that subsequent claims will submit your project proposal.

The contractor must provide on his own behalf all the materials, labor, equipment and tools owned by it (all of the highest quality) that are necessary to carry out the work.
