The Federation of Women Journalists and Public Reporters of the Caribbean and Panama presented a recognition to the most outstanding leaders of Panama

The Gladys Vidal Municipal Theater in Panama was the setting for the tenth recognition ceremony ‘Women leaders 2023, for an inclusive digital world’, organized by the Federation of Women Journalists and Public Relationists of the Caribbean and Panama.

Women were honored for their management in areas such as research, literature, journalism, diplomacy, youth empowerment and science.

Juana Herrera, during her speech, referred to the historical struggles that women have had for the recognition of their rights. “Thanks to them today we can talk about women who are candidates for political positions and those who occupy business positions,” he said.

On behalf of the Mayor’s Office of Panama was Esther De La Fuente, director of the women’s office of the Mayor’s Office. She assured that March 8 should serve as a scenario for reflection on the commitment that each person must have for equality.

Some of the women decorated were: the emberá leader Sara Omi, the director of the Institute for the Training and Use of Human Resources , Ileana Molo, the director of the Space Science Center of Panama , Madelaine Rojas
