Exceptional Geotourism Website for Central America

News from Panama / Friday, December 7th, 2012

This is incredible and I am so pleased to see this initiative as it will mean a lot to Chiriqui and all of Panama.  Go Blue Central America is an interactive map to share with the rest of the world the uniqueness and authenticity of the marine and coastal areas of Central America.

The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and National Geographic (NatGeo) presented “Go Blue Central America”, an interactive map on the internet designed to promote tourism in the Isthmus.

The website “Geotourism in Central America” is an online tool that provides local residents and tourism businesses with a powerful instrument for telling their story and promoting their destinations and products on a global scale with one of the most recognized and trusted brands in the world.

Local residents generate most of the content for the website Geotourism in Central America through “Nominations” of local attractions, businesses and unique experiences. Each nomination that is approved will be presented on its own web page within the website (including a description, photos and video, and contact information) and will also be placed on the interactive map of the region.

In addition, Geotourism Central America is to present another inspirational content and travel planning tool that will help attract and connect guests from around the world to visit destinations and local businesses and points of interest.
