Collaborative Economy: New Competitor in Panama

In a few days the company DiDi will start operating in the country, an application dedicated to the transport of people and which is already recruiting driving partners.

This is the second market in Central America where the application will compete, since in November 2019 began offering its services in Costa Rica, specifically in San Jose, Cartago, Alajuela, Heredia and Puntarenas.

Pablo Mondragon, DiDi‘s director for Central America told Prensa.com that “… The platform is present in Australia, Brazil, Japan, Mexico, Chile, China, Colombia, Costa Rica and now Panama, where we hope to start operations soon.

Mondragon added that, “… as an incentive, the first 2 thousand registered driving partners will have the opportunity to achieve revenues of up to 700 dollars during the first week, since the platform will only retain 15% of the service commission. Other platforms charge 25%.
