Next Monday, March 25, the inhabitants of Panama will have the opportunity to witness a Penumbral Eclipse, a phenomenon in which the Moon crosses the brightest part of the Earth’s shadow. The National Directorate of Space Sciences of the Technological University of Panama (UTP) reports that the Eclipse will be visible from the entire Panamanian territory.

During this astronomical event, all or part of the Moon will be obscured by the shadow of the Earth. It is important to remember that to observe the Moon with telescopes during the eclipse, it is necessary to use lunar filters to protect the eyes and equipment.

According to the information provided by the UTP, the first contact of the eclipse will occur at 11:52 p.m. on March 24, reaching its peak at 2:13 a.m. on March 25 and ending at 4:33 a.m. on the same day.
