President José Raúl Mulino announced in his morning conference on October 17 the preliminary results of Operation Panama 3.0, after five days of implementation.
According to the president, so far 275 raids have been carried out and 910 people have been apprehended, with an average of 182 detainees per day.
A total of 416 packages of drugs and 29 firearms have also been seized.
In addition, nine subjects were arrested in Chiriquí for stealing vehicles.
Likewise, the Capibara and Obra Gris operations have been carried out to stop extortion practices in the educational and construction sectors.
“We are putting things in order with the intention of recovering the neighborhoods, and I have given instructions to all the security forces to continue incessantly,” Mulino said.
It would have been informative to have included an explanation of exactly what was the over-all mission of OP Panama 3.0 was designed to accomplish … I’ve noticed over the years reading the article that it is assumed that all your readers (even those familiar with how Panama operates as a whole) know the many obscure things the Panama ZOG is up to now days.
Many readers would reasonably assume (headline) that this article would be related to the well known flow of illegal immigration through this cooperating and expediting country.
