$12 million Convention Center Tender

The Tourism Authority of Panama is putting out to tender the study, design, construction and equipment of a convention center in the province of Chiriqui.

Panama Government Purchase 2018-1-45-0-04-LV-013192:

“The Project consists in the design and construction of a Convention Center measuring approximately 6000 square meters and improvements to the site, including parking, landscaping, public spaces, signage and access roads described in these documents, for a global amount reflected in the reference price of the General Conditions.

The building will be designed to obtain a high degree of flexibility, defined as the need to allow changes in the size and character of the spaces, as required by a wide variety of events. The Center should work just as well for events that use the entire Center as for multiple simultaneous events with different requirements.

The materials for the interior and exterior of the building must be durable, permanent, resistant to vandalism, easy to maintain and within the limits imposed by operation, building codes and cost vs.life cycle analysis, and comply with international standards.”
