Wingo will offer flights from Chiriquí to Panama-Pacific in August for $49

The low-cost airline Wingo announced that it will start operations with its first domestic route in Panama, between the Panama Pacific Airport, which is 15 minutes from the center of Panama City, and the city of David, capital of the agro-industrial and tourist province of Chiriquí for a one-way cost of US$49.

A press report indicates that with this new route, which begins on August 11, Wingo becomes the first ultra-low-cost airline to operate a domestic route in Panama. The airline already offers seven international destinations: Barranquilla, Cartagena, Bogotá, Medellín and Cali, in Colombia, in addition to Havana, Cuba, and San José de Costa Rica.

“Panama has always been an important market for Wingo and that is why we are growing in this country, offering more connectivity alternatives for its inhabitants. Now we offer our first domestic operation towards David that, added to the seven international routes, reflect the relevance of the Panamanian market in our business strategy. The Panama Pacific – David route will start its sales with promotional launch rates of US$49 each way. In addition, it will be offered twice a week, on Fridays and Sundays.
