This is a nice story about our local dog rescue and foster home here in Boquete that Jackie Lange put in video.  This couple started with nothing and have built a great organization.  Yes hard work pays off!!

Javier and Magaly have always helped dogs (and cats) in need. They are both from Peru. They came to Panama to look for a way to start a better life while still helping animals. They started Dog Camp in Boquete Panama. It’s a place for abandoned dogs to get healthy then they are put up for adoption. Many of the dogs come to DogCamp very malnourished and in need of medical care. DogCamp gets them healthy and trains them to be well-behaved and social. Dog Camp is currently taking care of 38 dogs!

They also offer boarding services in a separate area on their spacious property. They work almost exclusively by donations.
