The project of Line 3 of the Panama Metro, which will link Panama City with the district of La Chorrera, has reached a 63% of progress, according to the Director of Projects and Planning of the Metro, Agustín Arias.

One of the novelties of the project is the construction of a tunnel that will pass under the Panama Canal, a modification that was not contemplated in the original design. This change has required adjustments in the work, such as underground excavation in that key area.

Despite the delays and complexity of the excavation work, which is still in process, the authorities expect Line 3 to be completed by the end of 2028, according to Arias, the director responsible for the project.
