The Special Regime of Headquarters of Multinational Companies (SEM) added this three new companies, originating in Spain, Hong Kong and Panama, which will initially be investing about US$3,131,814.
The information was released by the Ministry of Commerce and Industries of Panama
The approval of licenses to these multinationals was given during a recent meeting of the SEM Licensing Commission, chaired by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Commerce and Industries (MICI), Francisco Mola.
These companies complied with the requirements established in Law No. 41 of 2007 and are linked to technology and beverage and food production activities.
According to data from the General Directorate of SEM of the MICI, in 2023 nine licenses have been approved, which provide investments of more than US$ 17.6 million, as well as in the generation of jobs and knowledge transfer.
The statement does not disclose the names of the companies.
