The Panamanian restaurant Maito is on the list of the 100 best restaurants in the world

The Panamanian restaurant Maito, the Ecuadorian Nuema and the Peruvian Mérito enter for the first time in the list of the best 100 restaurants in the world, prepared by The World’s 50 Best Restaurants, which this Thursday, June 8 published the second tranche of these recognitions. 

As reported this Thursday on its website The World’s 50 Best Restaurants, Mérito (Lima), opened

(Quito) of the couple formed by Alejandro Chamorro and Pía Salazar. A house where both bring to the table the biodiversity of their country and where Salazar serves desserts that have won the award for the Best Pastry in Latin America in 2022.

Finally, chef Mario Castrellón and his restaurant Maito (Panama City) entered this list for the first time in the 100th place, after during the last seven years it was ranked as the Best Restaurant in Panama and in 2022 it climbed to number 6 in the list of the Best Restaurants in Latin America. 

On the other hand, (rank 54) is Mayor (Guadalajara Sud 777 (Mexico City), by Edgar Núñez, who has been showing “Mexican vegetable cuisine” for years.
