The Maritime Authority of Panama (AMP) issued the order to proceed for the construction of a new Fiscal Pier in the Armuelles Port, located in the province of Chiriquí.

The project, which is valued at approximately 20 million, includes the studies, designs, development, approval of the plans and construction of the New Fiscal Pier of Puerto Armuelles, as well as the supply of furniture, tools, equipment and materials necessary for the perfect operation of the offices and the dock area.

In that sense, the AMP held the public act that was awarded by the Asobuz consortium, made up of the Panamanian company Administración y Supervisión de Obras Civiles, S.A. and the Colombian Buzca Soluciones de Ingeniería, S,A., this contractual relationship was endorsed by the Office of the Comptroller General of Panama.

“We recognize the direct impact on the economy that the construction of this pier will bring, by promoting the creation of direct and indirect jobs and the reactivation of tourism, not only in the area but throughout the Chirican West,” the AMP said.

“The AMP is an institution committed to the development of the country, so it will continue to invest in the repair, remodeling and construction of the minor ports and moorings,” he concluded.
