Tender: Water Treatment Plant for $27 million

In Panama, the study, design, construction, operation and maintenance of the Chiriquí Grande water treatment plant and supply networks are being put out to tender in the province of Bocas del Toro.

Panama Government Purchase 2018-2-66-0-01-LV-014594: 

“The purpose of the tender is to select and contract a company that will carry out the project called “Study, design, construction, operation and maintenance of the Chiriquí Grande water treatment plant and supply networks in the province of Bocas del Toro”, its respective socio-environmental management, and complying in every way with the technical regulations that correspond to the characteristics of the work, according to the conditions, time, location and other determining elements that are indicated in the specifications.

The system must have the capacity to purify continuously (5,000,000 gallons / day), raw water, at varying levels of turbidity (This parameter must be investigated by the company in the area where the raw water intake is located), by means of conventional treatment, which will include the following processes, without necessarily being exclusive: elimination of algae and elimination of odors using the system considered most convenient, prior treatment with ozone, blending, flocculation, accelerated sedimentation, filtration, disinfection (post-chlorination) and chemical treatment.

The new water design consists of collecting water from rivers near the area. The development of the services for the design, elaboration of plans and specifications for the intake, adduction line, line of conduction and distribution networks for an inflow of 5,900,000 Gallons / day.”
