We heard this earlier this year that the Pan American Highway Expansion will include the section from Davi to Santiago and here it is.  With this, one will be able to get to Panama City in a much shorter time frame as well as other parts of Chiriqui and Veraguas.

The Panamanian Ministry of Public Works is putting out to tender the study, design, construction, financing and maintenance of the renovation and widening of the Panamerican Highway.  The works are to be are tendered in sections:
