Tender: Construction of University Campus for $95 million

The University of Panama is putting out to tender studies, design, construction and equipment of university campuses in Antennas and San Miguelito.

“The contractor will be responsible for demolishing, dismantling, weeding and clearing obstacles, and removing topsoil at the site within the perimeter of the building. They must replant on the ground all borders with their respective accessories on all levels, lines and measures in the plans, based on the indicated BM, and will also be liable for any errors made in this work.

They must design a system of rigid reinforced concrete structures according to the rules set out in the Structural Code of Panama, REP-2004, any codes or standards (latest edition) of recognized technical solvency, usually accepted in the media (ASTM, AWS ACI, etc.).

All furniture must be manufactured or chosen from the best materials available to withstand heavy use ( “heavy duty”), they will preferably be light colors, but this will depend on the interior design of each room, all will be chosen by the University of Panama.

The project must include the use of brand names or recognized manufacturers of the equipment, requiring minimal maintenance and which can be purchased at local markets through Represented Companies in Panama. All equipment must be submitted to the University for approval before purchase and must be of the latest technology at the time of purchase. ”
