Panama continues to stand out as a benchmark in the international real estate market, driven by the sustained growth of this sector and its commitment to excellence, innovation and economic development.

In this context, the Deputy Minister of Industries and Commerce, Eduardo Arango, together with the director of the Technical Board of Real Estate of the Ministry of Commerce and Industries (MICI), Katherine Cardoze, highlighted the important advances that have strengthened the country’s position in this competitive market.

The recent recognition granted to the Panamanian Association of Real Estate Brokers and Developers (ACOBIR) as the Best Real Estate Chamber in Latin America, by the IX Congress of the Latin American Real Estate Conference, is a tangible proof of the success of the initiatives implemented in the sector, the deputy minister highlighted.

“This award is a reflection of the joint effort between the National Government and the private sector to strengthen the productive sectors, including real estate,” said Arango, congratulating ACOBIR executives for this important achievement.

A fundamental part of this advance has been the work led by the Technical Board of Real Estate, which has promoted important technological innovations, through management organization charts, and digitization processes in the administration of the sector.

These improvements have not only raised the standards of the real estate union in Panama, but have also contributed to the efficiency and transparency in the regulation of the suitable corridors, said the director of the MICI.

“The advances in the digitization of services and the implementation of cutting-edge technology in our direction are key to strengthening competitiveness and ensuring a regulated, modern and market-aligned with the national and international market,” said Cardoze.

Deputy Minister Arango also pointed out that the achievements obtained by ACOBIR and the Technical Board reflect the commitment of the National Government to strengthening the regulatory framework and promoting best practices in the real estate sector.

“The digitization and modernization of the Technical Board of Real Estate is a crucial step to attract more foreign investment and ensure that brokers in Panama operate under high standards of quality and professionalism,” he said.

Surpassing prominent competitors in the region, including countries such as Mexico and the Dominican Republic, the recognition granted to ACOBIR not only celebrates its excellent work, but also confirms the positive impact of the modernization and regulation policies implemented by the Technical Board.

Finally, the deputy minister and the board congratulated the great ACOBIR family for their constant work and urged them to continue contributing to the development of the real estate sector, a fundamental pillar of Panama’s economic growth.

The National Government, they assured, will continue to support these initiatives that position the country as a leader in the real estate market of the region.
