From October 30, KLM’s new Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner will cover the Panama City – Amsterdam route daily, which will have a greater capacity in passenger transport, since it has 318 seats spread over 38 seats in World Business Class; 28 in Economy Comfort and 252 in Economy Class.
The plane also has new engines that consume up to 20% less fuel, compared to others of similar size, due to the lighter materials with which it was manufactured, which significantly reduce its weight; this aircraft is one of the most sustainable and efficient in the KLM fleet.
The Commercial Manager of Air France and KLM for Panama and Ecuador, Marie-Noëlle Landázuri, stressed that with the arrival of the Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner in Panama, the most modern aircraft in its fleet, which elevates the travel experience for passengers with spacious and comfortable seats, which include the new World Business Class and the Premium Comfort Class.
“In addition, with this plane we reaffirm our environmental commitment, since this plane consumes 20% less fuel and reduces CO2 emissions by 20%, in line with our goal of achieving zero net CO2 emissions by 2050,” Landázuri said.
Likewise, in the Dreamliner there is also the option of traveling in the Premium Comfort Class, an intermediate travel class between the two products currently offered by the airline – the World Business Class and the Economy Class. The Premium Comfort Class has more space, luxury, service options, comfort and privacy, in relation to the Economy.
On the other hand, and in line with KLM’s sustainability policy, the materials for the Premium Comfort Class catering service are reusable or made of PEF or Recycled Polyethylene Furanoate. Passengers who choose this segment have more flexible options in relation to their luggage and access to the privileges of the SkyPriority circuit, such as preferential check-in and boarding.
