Having had first hand experience there with a past surgery, I can say that while Paitilla Medical Center may not be as sexy looking as Hospital Punta Pacifica, it has some of the best Panamanian doctors many of  whom are US Board Certified surgeons and are counted among the best in Latin America.  The care that I received there was outstanding. Hopefully the new owners will continue the improvements there.

A Spanish group announced the acquisition of the Paitilla Medical Center in Panama City.

From a statement issued by Grupo Hospiten:

In this way, the Hospiten Group continues its international expansion by consolidating its position as a benchmark in the provision of medical-hospital services at the highest level. The Group chaired by Dr. Pedro Luis Cobiella, consolidates, with this acquisition, its commitment to Panama where it has had a presence since 2013.
