The price of a liter of gasoline went up and the diesel price went go down March 24th

At 6:00 a.m. on Friday, March 24, the new fuel prices in Panama will apply. The price of a liter of 95 and 91 octane gasoline rises $0.003 to $0.011, while the price of a liter of low-sulfur diesel will decrease by $0.031.

The maximum prices will be valid until April 7, 2023.

In the provinces of Panama and Colón, consumers will pay for the liter of 95-octane gasoline has a variation of 0.003 hundredths, so it will have a price of $1,054 (previously $1,051); 91-octane gasoline has a variation of 0.011 cents/liter and rises to $0.996 (previously $0,985). Low Sulfur Diesel has a variation of less than -0.031 cent/liter and drops to $0.946 (previously $0.977).

As for prices per gallon, 95-octane gasoline has a variation of 0.0100 cents, 91-octane gasoline 0.0400 cents and Low-sulfur Diesel has a variation of minus 0.1200 cents (the gallon drops 12 cents).

However, the National Government maintains the subsidy of the price of 91- and 95-octane gasoline and diesel at $3.25 per gallon ($0.859 per liter), extended from February 16, 2023 until next April 1, 2023 -44 days -, as part of the actions for the reactivation of the national economy and the relief of the population.

The Ministry of Energy (SNE) shared the new “Maximum consumer sale price at liquid fuel service stations,” published in Official Gazette No. 29735-A of Resolution No. IMOPRE-2023- 0010495, which temporarily establishes the maximum retail prices of some liquid fuels in the Republic of Panama.
