The President of the Republic, Laurentino Cortizo Cohen, participated last night in the inauguration of the new headquarters of the Hemato-Oncological Center Panama (CHOP), in The Panama Clinic hospital, with modern facilities suitable for the comprehensive care of his patients.
In the company of hospital managers, the president took a tour of the new CHOP facilities, located on the 20th floor of Tower B of Pacific Center.
José Luis Franceschi, medical director of CHOP, highlighted that these centers have a multidisciplinary medical team of more than 25 doctors who offer comprehensive care to their patients in hematology, oncology, radio-oncology, geriatrics, palliative care, psycho-oncology and nutrition.
In addition, they have a specialized team of four oncologists nurses and three pharmacists with extensive experience in oncology.
The doctors of the Hemato-Oncológico Center Panama are part of the American College of Physicians (FACP), the Panamanian Society of Oncology and the Panamanian Society of Hematology, among others. In this way, they have established professional links with private hospitals in Panama and other centers in the United States and Europe to achieve high standards in their health services, also allowing them to provide up-to-date and continuous teaching to their doctors for the benefit of all their patients.
