Ariana Ramírez at Panama Today reports on the 3rd Summit of Integration for Peace.

Panama became the capital of peace with the celebration of the 3rd Summit of Integration for Peace, CUMIPAZ. The World Embassy of Peace Activists (EMAP) convened community leaders, parliamentarians, diplomats, politicians, jurists, academics, scientists, businessmen and environmentalists from all around the world for dialogue and integration.

The purpose of this year’s discussion is to observe the actions that organisms at an international level are carrying out for the execution of peace, security and sustainability of humanity on the planet.

Gabriela Lara, director general of EMAP, explained that every year the institution carries out this call to promote integral peace, security and sustainability of the human family and mother earth with the help of personalities who make their work agenda known.

The summit brings together personalities from NGOs and the private sector from at least 40 countries.

Regarding the election of Panama as the venue for this edition, the institution ensures that the country is projected as a territory “that is distinguished by its political and social stability and as a reference for cultural integration, dialogue and cooperation since its multiethnic constitution”. Likewise, CUMIPAZ highlights the efforts of the nation in programs that promote sustainability and caring for the environment.
