Parties, celebrations and inaugurations in Boquete

News from Panama / Tuesday, November 27th, 2018

Boquete has been busy this week with the horse parade on Sunday, the inauguration of our new bridge near The Panamonte Hotel on Tuesday and the celebration of independence from Spain on Wednesday.  President Varela came to officiate the events and boy was there a rush to finish the new roads here in Boquete as he promised.  Most of the major work has been done and after 2 years the light at the end of the tunnel is shining as bright as the sun in the sky, now that summer is almost here.

We have seen over a billion dollars in infrastructure projects here in Chiriqui and it shows when you get on the road and travel.  Lots of four lane highways now service our province.  Our new Federal Mall is well underway for completion next year which is a huge project in David, just a half hour away.

When it seemed as if the work here in Boquete would never end, it will soon be a distant memory and thank goodness for that.
