Panama”s President Juan Carlos Varela will make an official visit to Cuba on Oct 29-31, the Cuban Foreign Ministry announced on Friday.
According to the programme, Varela will pay tribute to National Hero Jose Marti in the memorial bearing his name in Havana and will hold official talks with Cuban authorities.
The President will also visit the Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, founded in 1986 to investigate medical and biological fields, as well as the agricultural sector and the environment.
As part of his agenda, he will visit the Solidarity with Panama school, a national reference center designed for pre-school through ninth grade children with physical-motor impairments or mental retardation.
