Panamanian business mission will explore business opportunities in Puerto Rico

A group of Panamanian companies together with export promoters from the Ministry of Trade and Industries (MICI), will be traveling to Puerto Rico to establish contacts with potential buyers and companies interested in exploring synergies and business opportunities.

The delegation that will be part of the “Panama Commercial Mission”, which will be in San Juan, Puerto Rico from May 14 to 16 of this year, aims to promote the national exportable offer and establish commercial links, endorsed by the MICI, through the Vice-Ministry of Foreign Trade.

The national director of Export Promotion, Eric Dormoi, reported that as part of the agenda of the Trade Mission, an important rapprochement will be carried out with the Department of Economic Development and Commerce and the Puerto Rico Chamber of Commerce, carrying out field visits to investigate the market, in addition to a business round-session.

“Representatives of the 16 Panamanian companies, which will be attending, from the food and beverage, manufacturing and construction sectors, will present their products to more than 50 buyers including supermarkets, club stores, cash & carry, distributors, hardware stores and others,” Dormoi said.
